What is Adoption Leave (AL) for Mothers under the Government-Paid Leave Scheme (GPLS)?
Adoption Leave (AL) is a government-paid leave scheme that supports eligible adoptive working mothers, including self-employed mothers, in caring for their newly adopted infant. To qualify, the adopted child must be below 12 months old at the point of the Formal Intent to Adopt (FIA).
