What are the changes to the leave schemes and who is eligible?
Under the new childcare leave framework, eligible parents will receive between 8 to 12 days of CCL based on the number of children they have. This benefit is available to parents of Singapore Citizen children until the child reaches 12 years of age.
8 days for one child
10 days for two children
12 days for three or more children (capped)
The Government will also bear the cost of all child-related leave, up to the applicable reimbursement limit. They will be operationalised on a reimbursement basis, where employers pay employees first and then claim the reimbursement from the Government. This reimbursement arrangement is the same as current.
