Are public holidays included in the 'Leave Days' for claim submission under Government-Paid Leave (GPL) scheme?

When to Include Public Holidays in Your Leave

If you take leave continuously (all at once in a block): Include public holidays that fall on your normal working days during your leave period.

Example: If you take Adoption Leave from week 11-12 and there's a public holiday on a Tuesday (your normal working day), include it.

If you take leave non-continuously (flexibly with breaks in between leave days): Only include public holidays if you actually took leave on those specific public holiday dates that fall on your working days.

Example: If you work in retail and normally work on public holidays, only count the public holiday if you specifically took leave on that day.

Note: First 8 weeks of Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML) and Adoption Leave (AL) must be taken in one continuous block.
