No, the Homes for the Aged Act (HFAA) has not been reviewed since 1988. As such, this Bill is timely to harmonise the standards across the social residential homes under MSF's purview under one licensing regime. In the process, it was also important for us to engage and consult our partners in the sector, to ensure that this new legislation is practical and implementable.
