Does MSF foresee an increase or decrease in demand for residential care services over the next 10 years?

Preliminarily, MSF foresees a slight increase in demand for residential care services over the next 10 years, based on current trends. For example, for adult residential services, we expect a slight increase in demand for residential care as (a) caregivers age and are no longer able to care for vulnerable seniors and PwDs, (b) we are making shelters more accessible / appealing to rough sleepers. At the same time, MSF has strengthened efforts to re-integrate clients to the community, and both MSF and MOH are enhancing support for caregivers of PwDs and seniors so that fewer seniors and PwDs require institutional care.
