Why are the salary guidelines published by MOH different from MSF's? Will MSF be increasing the salary guidelines for professions in the social service sector to match the guidelines for Public Health Institutions/Community Care Organisations?
We acknowledge SSAs' feedback regarding the differences between MOH's Guidelines for Community Care Organisations and our Guidelines for the social service sector. Both MOH and MSF have benchmarked our guidelines against the labour markets relevant to our respective sectors to ensure they are competitive.
While there are overlapping roles (e.g., Allied Health Professionals, Care Staff), job roles may differ in size and salary structures across MSF- and MOH-funded services. Nonetheless, we are working closely with MOH to explore how we can more closely align the two sets of Salary Guidelines in the medium term.
