Are Crisis Shelters and Transitional Shelters licensed today? If not, how are they managed?
Crisis Shelters and Transitional Shelters are not licensed today and will not be licensed under the SRHB for now. In contrast to the SRHs that are going to be licensed, these clients enter/exit on a daily basis and are not reliant on the provider for 24/7 care.
Crisis Shelters and Transitional Shelters are funded by MSF today and are expected to fulfil a prescribed set of requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) under the service model. If these requirements are breached, MSF may take the Crisis Shelter or Transitional Shelter to task by withholding or reclaiming funding.
