Government benefits that support the growth and development of children are given to all children regardless of the marital status of their parents. Children of divorcees and widowers are eligible for the Large Family MediSave Grant and increased Child Development Account First Step Grant under the Large Families Scheme, which are intended to defray child-raising expenditures such as healthcare costs and preschool fees. Divorcees and widowers will also be eligible for the Large Family LifeSG Credits if they meet the criteria.
