Will part-time employees be eligible for Shared Parental Leave (SPL)?

Yes. The part-time employee will be eligible for Shared Parental Leave (SPL), so long as he meets the eligibility criteria.

The number of weeks that the part-time employee is eligible for would be based on the sharing arrangement between the employee and his/her spouse. The number of days of SPL should be calculated based on the number of days they work in a week under the part-time arrangement. For example, if they work 3 days in a week and had allocated 3 weeks of SPL to themselves, they will be entitled to 9 days of SPL.
