Will part-time employees be eligible for Government-Paid Leave (GPL) schemes?

Updated by MSF

You are eligible for Government-Paid Leave (GPL) schemes as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.

For Government-Paid Childcare Leave (GPCL), the number of days entitled will be based on the formula found here.

For Shared Parental Leave (SPL), the number of weeks you can take depends on how you and your spouse choose to share the leave. Since you are working part-time, your SPL entitlement will be calculated based on the number of days you work each week.

For example, if you work 3 days a week and allocate 3 weeks of SPL to yourself, you will be entitled to 9 days of SPL.
