Will Baby Bonus benefits be recovered when the child’s parents divorce?
If a child is a Singapore citizen at birth and meets the eligibility criteria during application, he or she will continue to enjoy the Baby Bonus benefits even if his or her parents subsequently get a divorce. We will not recover benefits that are already paid out unless fraud or payment error is suspected.
However, if the child’s existing CDA trustee no longer has the custody, care and control over him or her, the CDA trustee will need to be changed.
