When can a Student Care Centre (SCC) request for the release of the Start-Up Grant (SUG)?

  • SCC can request for MSF to release deposit if a student’s parent/guardian does not give the SCC at least one month’s notice of the student’s intended withdrawal from the last day of student’s attendance.

  • For example, the SCC can request for the release of the SUG deposit if the parent/guardian of the child only informed the SCC of their intended withdrawal on 1 June 2025 and the child last day of attendance to the centre is 22 June 2025.
