When can a Student Care Centre (SCC) request for the release of the Start-Up Grant (SUG)?
SCC can request for MSF to release deposit if a student’s parent/guardian does not give the SCC at least one month’s notice of the student’s intended withdrawal from the last day of student’s attendance.
For example, the SCC can request for the release of the SUG deposit if the parent/guardian of the child only informed the SCC of their intended withdrawal on 1 June 2025 and the child last day of attendance to the centre is 22 June 2025.
