What should Student Care Centres (SCC) do if they have parents who still cannot pay the student care fees despite receiving Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) subsidies?
A Student Care Centre (SCC) that administers the Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) may consider engaging the parent on a suitable payment method (e.g. instalments) and reach a mutual agreement. If the family is facing financial difficulties (e.g. due to retrenchment, reduction of income), you can refer them to a Social Service Office for financial assistance. If the family is facing more complex issues (e.g. parenting, marital or family violence issues), you can refer them to a Family Service Centre.
Please refer MSF | Directories to search for the nearest Social Service Office and Family Service Centre.
