Is it compulsory for Student Care Centres (SCCs) to register with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)?

It is not mandatory for Student Care Centres (SCCs) to be registered with MSF. However, an SCC that wishes to administer the Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) must be registered with MSF. The SCFA offers fee subsidies to students from lower-income families.


An SCC that administers the SCFA is required to meet a list of minimum requirements by MSF and will be subject to audit checks to assess its suitability to continue administering SCFA.
