What is the difference between Social Service Offices (SSOs) and Family Services Centres (FSCs)?

SSOs help deliver financial assistance through schemes under the ComCare Fund and ensure prompt delivery of relevant social services in their neighborhood. They work closely with community partners to understand the needs of residents.
FSCs are community-based social services that provide support for vulnerable individuals and families with social and emotional issues.
Social Work Practitioners at the FSCs provide case management support and also partner with other agencies to coordinate holistic support for clients to help them achieve stability, self-reliance, and social mobility. In order to help these vulnerable families achieve these goals, FSCs will link families to appropriate social services through the Information and Referral service and support and strengthen families in need through Casework, Group Work and Community Work.
