What is the Child Development Account (CDA)?

The Child Development Account, or CDA, is part of the Baby Bonus Scheme, which aims to help families manage the costs of raising children and encourage parents to save for their children's developmental and healthcare needs.
When you save in the CDA, the Government co-matches up to a cap. Your child’s eligibility for the Government co-matching depends on his/her birth order and date of birth. The Government co-matching contribution will be credited into the CDA within 2 weeks (excluding public holidays) of your deposit.
Funds in the CDA can only be used for approved expenses at the Baby Bonus Approved Institutions (AIs) and cannot be withdrawn in cash. You can visit this link for a summary of the approved uses of the CDA and search for an AI here.
