Why don't you raise the retirement age instead of allowing re-employment?
Re-employment gives older employees an option to continue working after reaching retirement age and allows employers and employees to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement for re-employment.
Employers can benefit from access to an experienced workforce.
Older employees can benefit from the opportunity to renegotiate for a position better suited to their level of fitness, aspirations and/or desired workload at this stage of their life.
