Will I be fined if I’m late to submit work accident report under WICA?
You may be fined for not submitting the report on time. The composition amount ranges from $200 to $2,500.
If you fail to pay the composition fine, you may be prosecuted resulting with a court fine of up to $10,000, a jail term of up to 6 months, or both.
The majority of appeals are rejected. Submit an appeal only if you have valid explanation with supporting documentary proof.
You should submit the WSH incident report immediately when your employee has informed you of the work accident, even if it’s already beyond the deadline.
