When should the doctor prescribe light duties?

Updated by MOM

Light duties should be issued in the best interest of the worker, only after considering if appropriate duties are indeed available at the workplace, and whether the injured worker’s condition allows him to perform those duties without aggravating his injuries.

The Singapore Medical Council’s (SMC) Ethical Code and Ethical Guidelines (ECEG) provides guidance to doctors when issuing light duties.
