Why must I report all work-related medical leave or light duties to MOM for accidents?

Updated by MOM

This is to ensure a more complete reporting of all work-related accidents. Employees on light duties in addition to medical leave due to work injuries will be compensated for their lost earnings, based on their Average Monthly Earnings (AME). Therefore, you must report work-related accidents that resulted in any instance of light duties to MOM.

The reporting procedure is simplified for the reporting of injures with less than four days of medical leave, to reduce the administrative requirement.
