I'm a fixed-term contractor, temporary or part-time employee. Am I eligible for paternity leave?

Updated by MOM

Yes, as long as you meet all the eligibility criteria.

The leave you're entitled to is based on the number of hours you work in a week.

If you're a part-time employee working 20 hours a week, you have been working for your employer for at least 3 months before your child's birth, and your child is born on or after 1 April 2025, you'll be eligible for 80 hours of paternity leave.
