When would an employment agency be issued with demerit points?
Demerit points are an administrative measure which may be taken against EAs that have breached regulations spelt out in the Employment Agencies Act, Rules and Licence Conditions.
If the offence is a severe one, it is also possible for an EA to have its licence revoked instead of being issued with demerit points; for example, for abetting the activities of an unlicensed EA.
