Part-time employment
My colleague is a full-time employee in the company, and I am a part-time employee on a half-day work arrangement. We joined the company last month and performed the same job. How much should my company pay me?
Why can’t part-time employees encash their annual leave and add it into their hourly gross rate of pay if they work between 30 and 34 hours a week for at least 5 days a week?
How should I compute my employee’s leave entitlements if he converts from full-time employment to part-time employment (or vice versa)?
If my employee converts from full time to part-time employment, do I need to terminate his current contract and issue him a new contract? Would his employment be considered continuous?
