What is a Quarantine Order (QO)?

A Quarantine Order (QO) is a legal order issued under the Infectious Diseases Act 1976. It is issued to an individual who is, or is suspected to be a carrier of an infectious disease or is a contact of a person confirmed to have an infectious disease. The QO is necessary to limit the spread of the virus in the community.
