As MINDEF requires your income data from IRAS to calculate your MUP automatically, you are strongly encouraged to not opt out of the arrangement.

If you choose not to provide consent, you will have to submit your claims and supporting documents indicating your income via the “NSmen Payments” eService on the OneNS Portal before the start of your ORNS activity.

As MINDEF will have to assess your claims and may request more supporting documents to assess your claims, this will cause a delay in the disbursal of your claim amount.

If no claims are submitted before your ORNS activity, you will be deemed as having no income and will receive the base NS pay.
