If upon receiving the SAF100, you inform your employer of your ORNS activity and arrange for paid time-off or leave, you are not eligible for MUP.

The intent of MUP is to ensure that NSmen do not incur a loss in civilian income when they attend ORNS activities. If you are paid for the duration of your ORNS activity, you will only be paid Service Pay and not MUP – please refer to the OneNS Portal to find out more about the different between Service Pay and MUP.
