MINDEF does not have updated data on companies’ HR movements. It is hence not possible for claims to be automatically computed even if you are leaving the company or have recently left the company.

In such cases, your former employer can delete ineligible claims on the OneNS Portal at least two weeks before the start of your ORNS activity. If the MUP claim was already auto-generated and paid, your employer should submit a claim cancellation request via the ‘Employee Payment Management’ eService as soon as possible.

• If you are a Home Team NSman, your employer should submit the cancellation request via https://go.gov.sg/mhanspay.

• If you are employed in a new company during your ORNS activity, please inform your new employer to submit a MUP claim via the “Employee Payment Management” eService on the OneNS Portal.

• If you are self-employed during your ORNS activity, please submit a claim via the “NSmen Payments” eService on the OneNS Portal.
