When do I need to renew my Exit Permit?

You will need to log in to apply for a new Exit Permit if:

Your Exit Permit is expiring and you are not able to return to Singapore upon expiry of your current Exit Permit.

There is a change in the following: departure date, country of visit, purpose of visit or course of study.

If you did not require an Exit Permit for your initial duration of travel, but need to remain overseas for an additional period due to unforeseen circumstances and the total duration that you will be overseas exceeds 12 months, you are required to apply for an Exit Permit.
