Updated by MINDEF
Disability compensation is a monetary award to compensate the permanent anatomic or functional abnormality or loss that a serviceman has suffered as a result of his service injury. It also takes into account the fact that the serviceman may have reduced earnings as a result of his service injury. The amount of disability compensation will be based on the degree of permanent disability that his Specialist has assessed him to have suffered as a result of his service injury and is aligned to the Workman Injury Compensation Act by Ministry of Manpower.
