NSmen are allowed as many attempts as they need to qualify for an Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) award within their IPPT window (ICT-IPPT included. However, only the first 3 attempts will count towards the annual 40-day limit to NS call-ups, and will be accorded service pay and make-up pay (if applicable). NSmen will not be allowed to make any more attempts within their annual IPPT window after attaining the GOLD standard.
