What is the age limit for Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) to serve National Service (NS)?

Under the Enlistment Act, all male Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) will be scheduled for enlistment upon reaching the age of 18 years. The statutory age for National Service (NS) liability is 50 years (for senior military expert and officers) and 40 years (for all other servicemen. NS-liable SPRs are required to serve NS and will be informed to attend pre-enlistment procedures accordingly.
