Updated by MINDEF Under the Enlistment Act, all male Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) will be scheduled for enlistment upon reaching the age of 18 years. The statutory age for National Service (NS) liability is 50 years (for senior military expert and officers) and 40 years (for all other servicemen.
