While your indicated vocational interests will be taken into consideration, it would not be possible to assign every pre-enlistee to their vocation of interest due to the manpower and operational requirements of each vocation. You will only be informed of your vocation posting by the end of your basic training. Every NSF, regardless of the vocation he is deployed to, plays an important role and will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the defence and security of Singapore.
