For personnel who were cleared at CAT 1/1A, there is no need to submit a new clearance request as long as he still has 6 monthsbalance for his CAT 1/1A clearance validity AND remains in the same Organisation Group, e.g. SAF, DSTA, etc. If the personnel’s CAT 1/1A is expiring in 6 months or less, OR he is returning to a different Organisation Group, you are required to submit a new security revet request. For personnel who were cleared at CAT 2A and below, while there is no requirement to submit them for security revet, Departments/Units shall co-operate fully with MSD when informed that its personnel are required to undergo any further security vetting.
