Updated by MINDEF A base NS Pay of $1,600 per month will be paid to ensure NSmen are adequately compensated when they attend ORNS activities.
If your civilian income is below the base NS Pay amount, you will receive the base NS Pay pro-rated based on the duration of your ORNS activity. MINDEF/MHA will pay you a top-up to the base NS Pay, which is the difference between the base NS Pay and your civilian income loss. This is reflected as 'NS Top-up' on the Payment History page under the 'NSmen Payments' eService.
If your foregone civilian income is above the base NS pay amount, you will be paid according to your civilian income.
The base NS pay is not applicable for IPPT, NS FIT and mobilisation.
