Why did the Charity Council introduce the “Partial Compliance” response for GEC?

The Charity Council recognises the various challenges faced by charities and understands that some may need more time to comply with the guidelines due to limited resources or have certain limitations which prevent them from achieving full compliance. In such cases, charities shared that it would be inaccurate to reflect “not complied” or “complied” for the guideline/s. It would be more accurate to reflect “partial compliance”.

Hence, charities can now select “Partial Compliance” in their GEC if they are still trying to achieve full compliance at the point of GEC submission. Charities are required to explain why they are unable to achieve full compliance and share on their efforts in trying to achieve full compliance of the guidelines.
