A fund-raiser intends to market a newly launched merchandise whereby 50% of the proceeds will be donated to a charity. Will the Fund-raising Regulations apply?
In the case of merchandise sales where there is a representation that the whole or any part of the proceeds will be applied for any charitable, benevolent or philanthropic purpose, this would constitute a fund-raising appeal regulated under the Charities (Fund-Raising Appeals for Local and Foreign Charitable Purposes) Regulations 2012.
