Are there penalties if charities/IPCs do not submit the annual report/financial statements/ Governance Evaluation Checklist within 6 months from the end of their financial year?
Charities and IPCs are required to submit the annual submissions to their respective Sector Administrator annually for review. If charities/IPCs require a longer period of time to submit the reports, they should write to the Sector Administrators for a mutually agreed deadline. The request for extension will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Sector Administrators will take into account the submission status of the annual submissions in assessing the application and extension of IPC status.
