Why do my household members have different subsidy amounts for MediShield Life Premium Subsidies?

Updated by LIFESG
Your household members may have different subsidy amounts for MediShield Life Premium Subsidies due to the following reasons: 1. Age-based Premium Subsidies structure - Subsidy amounts are higher for older insured members, as compared to younger insured members, for those with the same subsidy eligibility. 2. Maximum subsidy for selected group identified - You or your household member may have been assessed to be eligible under other Government assistance schemes (e.g. Public Assistance Scheme), and hence automatically given the maximum amount of Premium Subsidies. 3. Assessed separately – Subsidies are based on the latest available information at the point of each policy renewal. As household members may have different policy renewal dates, the assessment may vary based on changes in financial circumstances. Selected household member(s) may have been assessed separately due to extenuating circumstances, e.g. those living overseas and are unable to provide consent in the previous applications. If you and your household wish to be reassessed for MediShield Life Premium Subsidies, please write to us at medishieldlife.sg/writetous or call our hotline at 1800-222-3399. Please note that airtime charges will apply for mobile calls to 1800 service lines. Calls are free of charge only if made from regular land lines.
