What does donating anonymously hide, and from whom?

Updated by KAMPUNGSPIRIT

Donating anonymously hides your name from other people using KampungSpirit.

What other people see

Your donation still appears in the IPC's "Recently donated" list, but as "Anonymous" with the amount, instead of the initials of your name.

Who receives your details, anonymous or not

  • The IPC receives your Singpass name, NRIC, email address (if you include one) and donation amount. It uses these to assess your donation for tax deduction and to issue any tax deduction receipt to you directly. The IPC may contact you if it needs to clarify something.

  • Your name, NRIC and email address can also be shared with the People's Association (PA) and the Community Development Councils (CDCs) for the administration of the voucher scheme, for example if you contact them about your donation.

How to donate anonymously

Tick "Make my donation anonymous on KampungSpirit" under Preferences when you donate. It is off by default, so your name is shown unless you tick it. You can still see all your donations, including anonymous ones, on your Impact page.
