If my spouse and I, as co-owners of an HDB flat, purchase a resale condo before selling the HDB, is Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) payable and can we qualify for remission?
Yes, ABSD is payable on the purchase of the resale condo. ABSD remission may be applicable to a married couple, which includes a Singapore Citizen, if the property is jointly purchased by the couple and all other remission conditions are met.
You may refer to Remission of ABSD for a Married Couple for more information on the remission conditions.
