What is an Entry Permit (EP) and a Re-Entry Permit (REP)?
The EP allows PRs to enter Singapore once, and to remain in Singapore. It is issued when PR status is first granted.
The REP is issued for a fixed validity period, upon application, for PRs to re-enter Singapore if they travel abroad.
Having a valid REP whilst abroad is an indication by the PR that he/she intends to return to Singapore. PRs are required to display a commitment to continue contributing to Singapore, in order to be issued an REP.
