The QR code will be encrypted to safeguard personal data, which can only be retrieved and decrypted by authorised ICA systems.
For added privacy, once a profile is created, the essential data of other travellers in the group QR code such as NRIC/FIN, Malaysian ID number, passport number, will be masked.
If travellers have reservations about sharing their personal details with the driver, they can self-scan their individual QR code or present their passport for immigration clearance.
