You will need a local sponsor if you are applying for a Student's Pass to study in Government Schools (GOV) or in an Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

The local sponsor must be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) aged 21 or older. Companies and organisations cannot act as local sponsors.

If you have a Singapore citizen or PR parent or step-parent, he/ she must act as the local sponsor for your Student's Pass application.
