Singapore citizen - Non-Resident (NR) couples are encouraged to jointly submit a Pre-marriage LTVP Assessment (PMLA) to provide greater clarity on whether the intended NR spouse can qualify for long term stay in Singapore, based on the circumstances of the couple at the time of application.

This will also help prospective spouses, particularly those who may not have the benefit of a long relationship, to have sufficient pertinent information about each other before their marriage. We strongly advise Singapore citizen and NR couples, who intend to apply LTVP for the NR spouse-to-be (after marriage), to go through the PMLA.
