Source: https://www.ica.gov.sgIn the case where one parent had passed away, the other parent may submit an application to change the child’s race here, with a copy of the other parent's death certificate.
The parent (applicant) who is applying for the race change is required to declare the following:
- The other parent/ legal guardian(s) is no longer alive and has not appointed any legal guardian in respect of the above-listed minor.
In the case where one parent is uncontactable, an Order of Court empowering the other parent to change the child’s race unilaterally will be required.
