Do I need to apply for a new ABTC upon expiry if my passport remains valid after my ABTC expires?

The validity of the ABTC is 5 years or up to the validity of the passport, whichever is shorter. Should you require a new ABTC upon the expiry of your existing ABTC, although your passport is still valid, you need to apply for a new ABTC.
