I received a call/email/letter claiming they are from HOMES. Are they legitimate?
HOMES, the HOusehold Means Eligibility System, is a Government system supporting public schemes in their conduct of means-tests as part of their assessment in determining the level of assistance for them. You or your family member may have confirmed your household composition or applied for assistance from one of the public schemes tapping on HOMES. These schemes are listed on the HOMES webpage. Applicants may be contacted by the HOMES Ops team via phone, email or letter, if there is a need to clarify the household information they or their family members had provided for the application of assistance from the public scheme.
If you have provided your mobile number as the point of contact, you will receive a gov.sg SMS (with the header “HOusehold Means Eligibility System”) when HOMES Ops officers are unable to reach you after the 1st failed call. With this SMS sent, you will be aware of the purpose of the call, identity of the HOMES Ops officer on your case, and the number to call us back.
You may find out more about HOMES via MOH website listing of e-Services or directly access the website https://www.homes.gov.sg/eservice/. If you have any query on HOMES, you may visit HOMES webpage to provide your contact details and a brief description of your query. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you are unsure of the authenticity of the number that you have received a call from, please call our hotline 6818 1422 for confirmation.
