Can we use salt to soak fruits and vegetables to prevent oxidation (browning)?

Updated by HMPP-HMSP
The use of salt to soak fruits and vegetables to prevent oxidation (browning) is not encouraged, as this would increase the amount of sodium intake from consumption. Preschools/schools can consider using vinegars such as apple cider instead.
