What happens if I need to see the doctor for my illness during the same visit for my Healthier SG Health Plan consultation/ annual Health Plan check-in? Do I still need to pay?
The first Health Plan consultation and the subsequent annual Health Plan check-ins are fully-subsidised and you do not need to pay.
At the same visit, if you would like to consult the doctor on other matters outside of the scope of the Health Plan, or if you agree to receive other services offered by the doctor, the clinic’s prevailing charges will apply.
When discussing your Health Plan with your doctor, you may be advised to undergo additional medical tests, e.g. blood tests for chronic conditions, to monitor pre-existing conditions. Such tests are in addition to the specially subsidised Healthier SG screening tests* and will be charged at the clinic's prevailing rates.
*Eligible Singapore Citizens will enjoy subsidised screening tests at polyclinics and CHAS GP clinics, while eligible Permanent Residents enjoy subsidised screening tests at polyclinics. Screening test eligibility is determined based on an individual’s age, sex, pre-existing conditions and last health screening date. In addition, eligible Singapore Citizens who are enrolled with Healthier SG will enjoy special subsidies at their enrolled Healthier SG clinic.
