Who is eligible for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination subsidies and how much will it cost?
Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) are eligible for subsidies if they are recommended for MMR vaccination under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS). MediSave can also be used to cover the out-of-pocket expense at both CHAS GP clinics and polyclinics. More information on NAIS is available here.
Eligible Healthier SG-enrolled Singapore citizens who have not been previously vaccinated against MMR, or lack evidence of past infection/immunity, will enjoy special subsidies at their enrolled Healthier SG clinic and receive MMR vaccinations at no cost ($0).
For those who are not enrolled with a Healthier SG clinic:
If you are an eligible Singapore citizen (i) aged 18 and above and; (ii) have not been previously vaccinated against MMR, or lack evidence of past infection/immunity; the price of the MMR vaccination (per dose) after subsidies at CHAS GP clinics are:
Pioneer Generation: $9
Merdeka Generation/CHAS Blue/Orange: $19
CHAS Green/Non-CHAS: $38
At polyclinics and MOH-funded long-term care institutions, eligible Singaporeans and PRs may receive up to 75% subsidy, with additional subsidies for Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation seniors in the outpatient setting.
Pioneer Generation: Born on 31 Dec 1949 or earlier, and became a citizen on 31 Dec 1986 or earlier
Merdeka Generation: Born between 1 Jan 1950 - 31 Dec 1959, and became a citizen on 31 Dec 1996 or earlier
Do note that if you do not meet the eligibility criteria for MMR vaccination subsidies after being reviewed by your doctor, you will need to pay the charges as indicated by the clinic. Individuals are recommended to confirm the total cost with the clinic before proceeding with the vaccination.
